Mission Statement

MECDA is a not-for-profit community organization dedicated to the celebration of the arts of Middle Eastern dance. Our mission is to create spaces for dancers in our club to perform, share information and explore our dance arts. 

As a regional chapter for this nation-wide organization, we have developed several fund-raising activities.  From hosting raffles, selling DVD's and reserving a portion of the entry fees for all of our events, we have raised thousands of dollars.  Visit the Main Chapter website for more information about the organization as a whole.  http://www.mecda.org

Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence
is a nonprofit, multi-cultural agency dedicated to providing proactive and progressive solutions to domestic violence. Serving Santa Clara County for the last 29 years, NEXT DOOR offers a range of services to individuals in abusive relationships, starting with emergency intervention and continuing through self-sufficiency. About SF/BA MECDA
SF/BA MECDA is a non-profit 501c3 organization devoted to Middle Eastern belly dance dance. Events like this would would not be possible without the generous dedication and support of our vendors, dancers and volunteers. We produce events, both large and small to benefit our diverse community of dancers, instructors, musicians, fans, friends and family. We also support the abolition of domestic violence, and to this end, we support Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence.
