ZAMBRA MESMERA: GYPSY BELLY DANCE • 3:30pm – 5:30pm Be ready for a spirited, skirt-flying, hand-clapping, foot-stomping, hair tossing, spicy good time, as we blend fiery Spanish, Moroccan and Turkish essences with the sensual precision of Bellydance to ignite dynamic individual expression and pure FUN! Please wear a full skirt if possible. ABOUT MESMERA Spinning her veils through 25 years of classes, performances, seminars, videos, festivals, film and TV credits, celebrity parties and directing Troupe Mesmerasha has shaped her into a dancer with depth and intent. Her articulate clarity of movement carries through to her teaching ability, making the learning experience most satisfying. Mesmera's signature Gypsy belly dance technique has been one of the hallmarks of her high-energy style, and has contributed to her status as one of the most sought after working belly dancers in Hollywood. | Each year, we put together a program for our gala show. Last year we handed out more than 200 copies! If you would like to contribute to support our local chapter, and contribute to our fundraising, consider placing an ad in our program to promote your dance business, classes, workshops, event – or anything!

| Volunteer Needed - Earn a FREE Workshop! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
 SF/BA MECDA is a nonprofit volunteer-run organization that relies on the dedicated help of people like you who are interested in helping us put on large and exciting events like this. Each year, it takes a team of at least 20 people to put together our gala show. If you would like to take part in our planning committee, we’re convening on October 8 to select acts and choose vendors – you can help shape the content and tone of our event! If you would like to volunteer to work the day of the event, we have several “tiers of service.” General Volunteer – Come work with us for four hours in the afternoon and:
Gala Show Volunteer – Commit to working from 5:00pm – 10:00pm behind the scenes and:
Super Service Volunteer – Work the entire day - a minimum of 7 hours where we need you most:
Note: We have limited Mesmera workshop slots available for volunteers. If these packages aren’t your speed, and you want to volunteer for only a few hours, we’ll be happy to have you join us. Simply e-mail us before or stop by the desk in the lobby the day of the event and sign up! |
